Description

The EXAVB underground power cable 0.6/1 kV is designed for low-voltage installations where there is an increased risk of mechanical damage. Thanks to the armoured construction, the cable offers extra mechanical protection and is suitable for direct underground burial without additional mechanical protection.

With its copper conductor, XLPE core insulation and galvanised steel armouring, this cable provides a combination of electrical performance, mechanical protection and durability for fixed low-voltage installations.

Key features:

  • Copper conductor
  • Copper conductor:
    • Class 1 (solid)
    • Class 2 (stranded)
  • XLPE core insulation
  • Safety circuit with copper wires
  • Galvanised steel tape or steel wires as concentric conductor
  • black PVC outer sheath
  • Nominal voltage: 0.6/1 kV
  • Maximum conductor temperature: 90°C
  • Maximum short-circuit temperature: 250°C
  • Minimum installation and handling temperature: 5°C
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +60°C
  • CPR reaction to fire: Cca-s3,d2,a3 according to EN 50575
  • UV-resistant

The safety circuit under the armouring is suitable for earth conductors up to 6 mm².

Installatiemogelijkheden:

  • Suitable for direct underground burial without additional mechanical protection. Also applicable in conduit
  • Suitable for installation in open air
  • Applicable in cable trays
  • Minimum bending radius:
    • 15× cable diameter (single-core cables)
    • 12× cable diameter (multi-core cables)

The armoured construction makes the cable suitable for fixed installations where extra protection against mechanical damage is required.

Available versions:

Available in single- and multi-core versions. Core identification follows the HD 308 standard. Depending on the version, variants are available with green/yellow earth conductor or with a blue neutral conductor. In certain versions, the fourth core has a reduced cross-section.

Typical applications:

  • Power plants
  • Transformer stations
  • Industrial installations
  • Urban distribution networks
  • Underground low-voltage networks
  • Electrical installations with increased risk of mechanical damage
  • Fixed power circuits
