Description
The BESS Battery Storage Cable 0.6/1 kV AC – 0.9/1.5 kV DC is specially designed for the most demanding battery energy systems (BESS) and grid installations. Thanks to its very high flexibility, installation is considerably easier, even in complex or difficult to access routes, directly contributing to lower installation costs. The cable is suitable for outdoor installation, in conduit, on cable tray or directly in the ground, without additional mechanical protection. Moreover, it can withstand humid conditions and even full immersion in water (AD8).
As structure, this cable has an electrolytically annealed copper conductor: class 5 (flexible) up to 150 mm² and class 6 (ultraflexible) from 185 mm². For insulation, cross-linked polyethylene is used (DIX-3 and XLPE), combined with a specially flexible PVC outer jacket (DMV-18 and ST2) in black finish. In addition, the cable is flame-retardant according to EN/IEC 60332-1, meets CPR fire class Eca (EN 50575) and features reduced halogen emission (<15% Chlorine).
